Day 2

Yesterday was my first day at the hospital working. Boy! I was definately feeling a little overwhelmed just with everything they have going on and i have no idea where any of the units are in the hospital. But i'll get it figured out. When it comes to pharmacy work, ia m used to a high intensity high paced always moving kinda deal, so the fact that we kick back do an order every once in awhile and just kinda... hang out is totally weird for me. It'll take some gettign used to not that i'm complaining about the low key ness... its just different.
So after i got off work at 430 I again ran into down town becuase no one has taken me out grocery shopping yet now that i am in the one bedroom apartment with a great view! So i ran the three miles tot he hanger again (the locals say its the only good place to eat around here and tehre is no food by my apartment) and this time i ate inside (it gets cold with teh breeze and dried sweat from my run) and ordered the halibut burger again then ordered a shocktop. The bartender i think felt bad for me and started talkign to me... his name is andy and no i haven't gotten a picture yet... He ended up buying me my round two which i tried the local alaskan white wheat beer thing. It was good. Then as i was watching the lakers vs celtics game an older gentleman sat down next to me... we started talking.... he comes here often and he bought round three four and five. We saw a humpback whale in the cruiseline cove/harbor area! it was way cool. makes me want to go out whale watching. Then when my bill came from andy the older gentlemen just took it and paid for my dinner.. So i have yet to pay for my dinner in downtown juneau... and no its not the locals paying for me its the tourists! lol The three mile stumble home was rather interesting... i saw my first wildlife... a porcupine. scared teh crap out of me. Then i basically got back to my apartment after an hour and tried to sleep but it is soooo hard to sleep here with the sun always up. uggh, llunch is over! that is all for now!
