Woke up and it was stilll raining out. it comes and goes so the ground is always wet and you never really know when it is going to start downpouring. Texted andy to see when we were

going to go hiking today. Did my jumping workout and at about 11ish andy came and got me to bring me to mt roberts hiking trail. To get to the trailhead you have to walk up some pretttty steep streets. again, its crazy!! So we got to the mountain head and started

climbing. It reminded me of hiking in minnesota (like duluth/bayfield--technically wi) but with mountains and higher peaks to climb to. We saw alot of wilderness plants (devils club, indian rhubbarb, old mans beard--

lichen) and it was definately a wet muddy trek. (my pants and shoes are filthy!) We then got to the top of the tram area saw a bald eagle (lady something, she was shot in the beak and suffered a crash landing when she was found she was pretty bad off. shes completely blind in her left eye and has very arthritic movement. After looking down at the channel we hopped on the tram to go down the mountain (the 1.5 hour hike up turned into a 2.5 minute slide down) then stopped by the hanger for food to go then andy brought me

back to the apartment so i could get ready for the wedding i was going to! The wedding was at the rainforest botanical gardens. an indoor mini conservatory. The wedding between rachel and jake (i tried remembering all the names of people i met) lasted less then five minutes--which i guess is typical for juneau weddings as long as theyre not catholic. Then everyone boarded a school bus (okay so since juneau is so small there is

only one bus company in it so there are no party buses but you can apparently make a party bus out of a school bus here.... wowza) and started out on the 20 minute ride up to eagle crest (to ski/snowboard resort). Some of andy's friends are pretty crazy (and their names all duplicated) so

another andy laid out all these landmarks for people to have their drinks finished by. i think he was the only one that actually participated. Once we got there, there was a buffet set up with appetizer like foods (sausage stuff mushrooms, cheese/meat/crackers, rible

ts, etc etc etc) the wedding party showed up about 45 minutes later and boy do juneau people know how to partay! lol I met a bunch of the people there;however, most of them were original juneau people who have moved to ancorage or seattle or various other places so i will never see

them again. At midnight, the partay was over and we all boarded back onto the school buses to be brought down to downtown juneau where we ended up going to the alaskan. Andy had left his car at the gardens so i found myself a ride home came home and went to sleep! boy that was a fun saturday night tho!
