he brought me out to lunch. I got to help with a few more things around teh pharmacy (rather than just watch the pharmacists input). I get to do things like medication verification for the detox/rehab center. I also am filling prescriptions and watched my first chemo be produced. Jenice (my precepter) then bought me lunch and explained her expectations of me while i was here. I did some research for her (PPIs require acidity/food to become activated so how to IV PPIs work if the pt is NPO, and are H2RAs and PPIs equivalent in ulcer prevention). At 400 I got let off work and called
up brady who met me with his puppy ruby for a walk up salmon creek. This is the same walk i had done with the pharmacist Ursula last week during her lunch break but this time brady and I walked as far back as the trail goes. ruby loved running through the long grass and up some of the little trails. It was a good hike. After that I put in a movie and that was it. Pretty boring day for a day in alaska when Ive gotten to do so many exciting things thus far.
